help pls! - job related horary question

hello all,
This past year was extremely hard and painful for me for I lost my job in Nov 2008, and had a fight with my live in boyfriend of 5 yrs on Jan 1 2009 which eventually led to a traumatic break up. I guess as of Feb. our relationship was practically over but it took me until the beginning of October to accept that he wont be coming back.  Sigh**   anyways… though it was soul tormenting, I keep reminding myself that it is all for the best. My Saturn return is just over so I should be ok from now on. No?  Say yes pls
I have a horary question.  Since I am now unemployed for months, and my bank account completely drained I have to find a job ASAP. A professional local astrologer interpreted my “When will I get a job” horary question chart in mid July, and the answer was not before Jupiter turns direct on Oct 13. Now that Jupiter retro is over, and there is a very good pharma company with a very attractive position that fits me perfectly which I am interviewing (I did one interview, one presentation, they said they will come back to me with an answer whether I will be one of the final 2 people to be presented to the top executive of the company for a final decision) I am dying to know whether I will get this job or not!  If I get it, my whole life will be back in track again.
This is the chart of my question. I cant interpret it.. i s it a yes, a no, when?  Will I have this job, and when? I am so desperate to know!   And here is a list of aspects:

Relationship chart: any insights?
Hi there, I have been learning horary for quite awhile but only by myself so I do need a sounding board, especially on this chart, which appears to me quite complicated (because the moon makes so many aspects and will make many more before leaving the sign) and also because I may be biased by what I want to see instead of what is. My question is of a romantic nature "Is Phillip the one?". The chart is very accurate in describing the two people involved - the AC, DC, Neptune on 7th cusp, significators, etc.

I used the sun, moon, and venus as my significator. (I myself have leo moon, gemini on DC and venus in virgo)
My partner is saturn and neptune (he is both an older man and a pisces sun).

The sun is in an applying trine to Neptune. Moon is in an applying tight square to saturn while Venus makes an applying conjunction to saturn and semi-sextile to Neptune.

In light of these aspects, it seems as if the answer is yes? Except that perhaps, the moon's last aspect before leaving the sign is opposition pluto, so that might be a no?

Hello, this is my first time posting. :)  I only just started looking into horary and am very intrigued by it.  I did a chart the other day but I'm still confused as to how to interpret it and would really appreciate any insight.

I'm a senior in college and I'm taking an impossible course load to try and graduate on time but my grades have been suffering from it.  I asked "Will I pass all of my classes this semester?"  From what I understand, I am ruled by the sun since the ascendant is in leo.  And the 9th house is in pisces which is ruled by jupiter.  The sun and jupiter make no aspect which seems to indicate a "no".  The moon also makes no aspect to the sun, but it sextiles jupiter so that could be a "maybe"?  I also read somewhere that the significator in the house of the quesited often indicates a yes...hmm.  I'm not getting my hopes up though.

Here's the chart (I'm sorry it's a link, I'm having a lot of technical difficulties uploading images for some reason :/)

Help with Horary Chart?
First, I'd like to say this is my first time posting on this community. I'm excited to learn as much as I can about horary. *waves hello* :)

So, I asked a question: Will I have a relationship within the next three months? I'm having a difficult time figuring out what the answer according to this chart is.

First, I looked at the first house, which is in Virgo and ruled by Mercury. Then I looked at the 7th house, which is in Pisces and whose ruler is Jupiter. They, Mercury and Jupiter are in conjunction to one another. So, since there is no aspect does this mean, "no"?

Then, I looked at the Moon. The Moon and Mercury make no aspect to one another, but the Moon does trine Jupiter. Does this mean "maybe"?

Horary is so confusing. I've looked all over the intertrons to find the "formula" for relationship horary, and I can't seem to put my finger on it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks very much!

Which house?!
Hello astrologers~

I cast a chart to ask if my best friend's fiance is cheating on her.  My query is about him, and I'm having a hard time deciding between the 7th and 11th houses.  I know him through her, and I've spoken with him a handful of times.  We've been out on one double-date together.  I don't really consider him a "friend", but I don't know if "acquaintance" is right either.  What's your take on this?

Let's Talk Phonez
Been checking out phones lately, and after much (albeit quick) research I've decided on what I want. HOWEVER! I've heard, and therefore asked, and so have confirmed that the phone I've decided on is in the process of being discontinued by the company making it. BUT! That could potentially mean a newer model or something totally new would be coming in its discontinuation wake. Much vacillation has taken place, leading me to finally decide to see if good ol' horary can once again guide me in the right direction.

Question: Should I go ahead and get the [ Motorola ] Q9h? Or should I wait and see what happens in the fall (usually when new stuff comes out)?

But how would I read the chart for an answer?

I'm thinking either the 2nd or 3rd house. 2nd is a good candidate as it is the house of possessions. 3rd is good because, obviously, this is an object that communicates (to the max, I might add).

I would like your opinions on this. For now, I'm thinking the 2nd house would be my best bet, since this is more of a matter of gaining a possession. Feel free to also give your interpretation of the chart based on how you would do it.

Thanks in advance!

Will he get the job?
Hello guys... I've just done another horary chart a few days ago. At first glance, I had perfect confidence that the answer was yes.

I used:
Uranus as significator of querent because it was the rising planet.
Moon as co-sig of both querent and situation.
Jupiter as significator of quesited. Actually Jupiter is also the true significator of querent but because there can only be one significator of quesited, I have opted to use Jupiter for quesited instead.

Jupiter makes a sextile aspect to Uranus. The Moon is separating from a conjunction with Pluto and will conjunct Jupiter before moving out of Capricorn. I thought that was an indication of yes.

No dignities can be found for Uranus. But Jupiter is in terms in Cap at 19 degrees and Moon is in night triplicity in Cap as well.

But after thinking about it for awhile, a few questions popped up.

1) Can trans-Saturnian planets be used in horary and what are their dignities?
2) Is it possible to use the rising planet as a significator in the event that its actual significator is the same as the quesited? Or should the secondary ruler be used, i.e. Neptune in this case.
3) If Neptune was used instead, and there is no aspect between Jupiter and Neptune, but the moon will make is last aspect with Jupiter before leaving the sign, what should the answer be to the above question?

Thanks guys for helping me out.

Update: He did not get the job (as shown by chart) but the people who knew he was applying for this job was quite surprised that he didn't get it. Is there anyone out there knowledgeable enough to read more into the chart and find out what went wrong? Would be quite interesting to learn to delve deeper into horary charts.

Horary Chart question:Will I find that someone special soon?
I did this horary chart about an hour ago. As one of my friends has just found a boyfriend, I started wondering whether I will find one soon. After a long time of overcoming an awful break up, I feel ready for moving on.
I'm a total novice to horary, so my observations may be a bit off! Any input will be greatly appreciated!

Who's the Daddy?
I don't know what houses to use, so I have no idea how to read this chart.

The question, asked by me, is "Is Stephon the biological father?".  Stephon is my son's dad, not my friend but not always my enemy.  He has another baby, about 6 months old.  I've been worried about my son growing attached to the baby, b/c based on the mother's sexual history I really question paternity.

What houses would you guys use?

It's a BOY!!!

I posted a chart about a month ago about my cousin's baby.  She just had her ultrasound, and it's a boy.

It's my first time post here, but I'm dazed and confused!!
Oh, well, I've known my crush for around 5 months, but it was a month later when we finally stuck it out! He has alway said that 'he likes my fiery personality', he loves to read my poems, he teases me way too badly, he's being naughty all the time and we both share common goals. However, I just did this horary chart to see if he sees me as just a friend. I'm not any good at horary charts, but I tried to figure it out...
The question was: Does he see me as just a friend?Collapse )
I noticed that Sun was squaring Jupiter, which in its detriment. This means 'over-optimism' to me....Maybe I don't see things clearly? I also noticed that Sun is in the 6th...Pretty accurate if you think that we both are very good in professional terms! That moon trining Mars sounds good to me...That Mercury inconjunting Saturn and Ascendant does worry me a bit...Maybe the whole situation will be very serious and, maybe, burdensome!
As I don't very much about interpreting horary, if you notice any other significant aspects and what they mean, please do give me a clue, as I get a very hazy picture of what is going on!

Relationship Horary
I just want to make sure that I understand which house various relationship issues belong to.

If I'm attracted to someone, but we are not currently in a committed romantic relationship (like we've both agreed to be boyfriend/girlfriend, fiance, married, life partners, etc.) then isn't that a 5H matter?  Even if we're dating each other (dating as in, going out on dates, really diggin' each other, but no formal committment made) doesn't this still belong to the 5H until we've both made a committment to each other?

The "Old" vs The "New"
Should horary astrologers use only the knowledge taught by the original thinkers who developed the horary astrology method?  Are modern methods worthless in coming to a true judgement on a chart?

I ask because I've noticed that horary astrologists fall into two very distinct categories, what I'm calling the Traditionalists and the Modernists.  The Traditional horary astrologers utilize very little, if anything at all, from modern horary astrological teaching.  It seems that the Modernists have taken the centuries of knowledge produced by  Lilly and  Bonatus and combined it with new astrological discoveries (like Uranus and different House casting methods).

The only horary book I've read at this point is that by Anthony Louis.   I've read that particular book, researched online, participated in this forum, and emailed "cosmicgarden" a million questions that she's answered patiently and knowledgeably.
I consider my horary skills in the "advanced beginner" category.  Even at this relatively early point of my horary education, I think that I have enough information to conclude that Traditional astrologers are not embracing enough of the new Modern horary teachings.

(I'm going to compare this situation to one that deals with religious matters, not for the sake of debating religion, but to simply draw an analogy.)  I liken this situation to the development of Christian theology.   The 20th century saw great developments in the way  Christians interpeted Biblical passages.  This  new understanding of the same, old, ancient writing  has enhanced their faith and corrected  incorrect  spiritual  behaviours.  (I could be more specific but won't, as this post is not about Christianity.  Again, I'm just trying to clarify my point with this analogy.)  So without new Christians reading the same texts, delving into the original meaning of what was written, looking at how Christianity has effected society in the past and how it should effect society in the future,  we would have the same, old thought processes playing out into the same, old behaviours.

Shouldn't we think of horary astrology in the same way?  Lilly didn't have the benefit of 20th century astronomical knowledge, nor did he have the additional four centuries of research that we've had to modify some of the traditional horary rules of judgement.  Wouldn't it benefit us to utilize Modern horary rules that have proven their effectiveness?

What do you guys think?

Will I be a famous writer in my lifetime?
What do you horary astrologers think of my analysis here????

The question is "Will I be a famous writer in my lifetime?". I think that it looks promising.  I am using the 10th house to answer the question, and the 4th from the 10th (the 1st) to look at the end of the matter.  Primary significator is Mercury, with co-significators of the Moon and Mars (Mars b/c it's located in the 10th house).  I don't regard the late degree of 27 rising as a consideration against judgement, b/c I'm at that stage of my professional life where a lot of seeds have been sown and it's just about time to start reaping.  I like that Virgo is rising, as that is a Mercury sign.  27 degree Virgo is conjunct my natal IC.  The question was asked on a Wednesday, which is a Mercury day!!!  Mercury is peregrine in Pisces, but I'm just glad it's not in it's detriment or fall.  Being placed in the 6th house is kind of a double edge sword, as it's accidentally dignified by being in the natural house of Virgo (I place a bit more importance on this accidental dignity b/c of the question of the chart, and the fact that Virgo is rising).  But astrologers see cadent houses as being kind of powerless.

Other notes, based on Ptolemy's Essential Dignities and Debilities as Used By Lilly, from my book HORARY ASTROLOGY PLAIN AND SIMPLE:

**Mercury is exalted in the 15th degree.  Merc in this chart is at 14 deg 18 mins, not exact but close.
**Merc's Triplicity by Night is the Moon.  This is fitting as the moon is my co-significator and in Sagitarrius (Sag dealing with higher levels of thought and education).  Also fitting b/c Cancer is on 10th house cusp.
**Merc's Term at 14 deg is Jupiter, fitting b/c the Moon is in Sag
**The Face of Merc at 14 deg is Venus; don't know how important that is, but Merc is conjunct Venus in this chart.

Conclusion: Mercury looks good in the chart.

**The Moon is exalted in Sag.
**The Moon is in the 3rd house, which is of course the other Mercury house.
**Moon's Triplicity by Night is Mars.  Mars is located in the 10th house of the chart, the house I'm using to answer the question.  Mars is my 2nd co-significator.
**The Term of the Moon at 4 deg is Mars.
**The Face of the Moon at 4 deg is Venus.  Merc is conjunct Venus, Venus is sextiling Mars
**Cancer is in it's fall in Aries; not sure how that plays in with Mars in the house in question.  The Moon is in it's detriment in Capricorn; not sure how that plays in with the 10th being the natural house of Cap.

Overall, I think that the Moon looks good.

**Mars is at it's fall in Cancer, sextiling Venus which is one of the signs of it's detriment.
**Triplicity of Mars by night is Jupiter, connecting the Moon in Sag
**Mars at 8 deg is in the Term of Venus.  So, my conclusion is the sextile to Venus is a good thing, especially with Venus being conjunct Mercury in a natural Mercury house.
**Mars at 8 deg is in the Face of Mars.

My conclusion:  It is very likely that I will achieve fame as a writer in my lifetime.  Woohoo!!!! However, it will take hard work b/c of the cadent positions of the Moon and Mercury. The Moon and Mercury don't aspect each other, again indicating to me that it'll take some work. Doesn't bother me, you HAVE to work to be successful.

My Pregnant Cousin

I drew a chart for the question "Is Teaira (my cousin) having a girl?".  I found out that she was pregnant yesterday!

After looking at the chart, I am growing concerned about my cousin and the baby.

The querent is:  Leo rising, Sun in Aries in 9th house; Moon in Libra in 3rd

The quesited is:  Jupiter on 5th cusp, Jupiter in Capricorn in 6th

I am posting the chart using Regio Houses, however I take a look at the horary chart in Regio and Koch.  In Koch, the retrograde Saturn is in the 1st house.

<a href="http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o273/tobyzmama/?action=view&current=teairababy.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o273/tobyzmama/teairababy.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I don't like this chart.  I haven't even figured out if it's a boy or girl, I'm too distracted by the apparent threats to the health of my cousin and her baby.

The question was asked on Sunday, day of the Sun.  The Sun is in Aries, so the sun to me is strong in this chart.  Leo rising is appropriate for a chart asking about a child.  The Moon in Libra is peregrine.
Things that concern me:

**Moon in Via Combusta at 26 degrees of Libra
**Jupiter in Capricorn
**Moon squaring Jupiter
**Pluto in the 5th
**Saturn retrograde in 1st house, using Koch houses

Other notes I've made on the chart, using Ptolemy's Essential Dignities and Debilities as Used by Lilly:

**This is a Day chart, and the triplicity of Jupiter by day is the Sun, which to me connects the baby to it's mother represented by the Sun and Leo rising.
**Jupiter at 19 degrees is in the term of Saturn, further connecting it's Capricorn position.
**Jupiter at 19 degrees is in the face of the Moon, amplyfying the Moon square Jupiter.
**The Moon is accidentally debilitated by being located in the 3rd house, a house of Mercury.
**The Sun is in the term of Saturn, again connecting Jupiter in Capricorn.
**The Sun is in the face of Saturn.

Is he a narc
Hi, I want to introduce myself, my name is Joanna and I have been scanning and reading your horary postings but have never posted before. I am not a scammer looking for a free reading, please don't worry- I am pretty active on this website/forum:http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/index.php and have a professional mentor teaching me modern astrology. I am sorry for being intrusive, but there are only a handful of horary teachers on the other forum and being that this is devoted entirely to horary, I wanted to give a try here. I hope I was able to post my chart properly, I just got SF, but I don't know how to erect the chart sans chiron. I have given this chart a real try at interpretation, so please help if you can because you will see i am really trying. My mentor isn't in to horary so I can't really ask him about it. I am awaiting my Frawley book, but the Ivy-Jacobson Goldstein book I have and is a little ambiguous on enemies. I also have Anthony Louis and saw the posted rules from Lilly about the 7th.

so the question posed is simply "Is he a narc?" What I meant was, I started a new job almost 3 months ago. There is an older man who is above me in ranks, a supervisor that I had a bit of a crush on. Then I don't know if it is the Scorpio moon, but I started getting the feeling that he is gathering information about me for the bosses- yes sounds paranoid I know but I have my reasons. Interestingly, the sun in this chart is in the same degree as his sun in my 5th house- I believe i picked up somewhere one time that if someone has a personal planet in the question and it shows up in the same degree when you erect the horary chart it carries weight?

At first I thought this would be a 12th house matter- being that he is presumably pretending to be my friend, but then I was reading over here and I see that it is actually a 7th house matter because I know OF the person I am suspicious of, yes?

Here is my take, I am really curious if anyone out there, especially experienced horarists could give me some feedback on my interpretation. I thought his sun in my 5th shows romantic feelings, but am confused because Mars will form an inconjunction to the moon, my co-sig and i read from Karen Hammaker-Zondag that can mean danger...here's my interp:
Ascendant and Moon are both in the Via Combusta and Moon is not really happy in Scorpio.

Im are ruled by Venus in my 4th, probably showing that I am at home at the time I asked this question. He is signified by the 11th, collegues and Saturn retrograde, mmmm..... he is keeping something to himself I would think. Saturn rules my private life (Capricorn on IC) and is situated in his 1st, shows to me he is collecting private information.
He is surprisingly close to me, but both are ruled by Saturn, probably showing that we are work buddies/collegues.

Now, the 12th house is indeed secret enemies, but he is not secret. I know who he is, so he is a known "enemy" and belongs in the 7th (I just read about this one in William Lilly's book as I had to do a horary about witchcraft, believe it or not, ha ha!)

So he is also signified by the 7th in my opinion, but then in the person of a spy. Mars rules the 7th and is in the 9th of my house, but in his 3rd. Strangely enough, Mars also rules the 3rd of the 11th, so in both cases, his thoughts are signified by Mars in Gemini. He is of a fickle mind, dualistic and has two different things on his mind.

He could well be working for his boss, as Mercury, dispositor of Mars is found in his 10th.
Interesting also is the fact that Venus, Mercury and Neptune asl well as the Node are all intercepted, in other words, they are sort of stuck. I think he could be personally interested in me, like a bit in love, than he could be stuck with that feeling, because he also has to tell on me.
Now this is all presuming he IS a narc (or rat, spy, etc).

Moon will square Venus, maybe showing my secret suspicion for him and separates from a sextile with his co-significator.
What is very significant I think is the fact that there are many Mutual Receptions between Mercury (him) and Saturn (his boss I presume, anyways, someone in authority, ruler of his 10th).
I find it very difficult, but I think he does like me but at the same time, because he has so much contact with someone in authority in the workplace, he could be getting information., because after all, <mercury ruled his third house. Moon will successively trine Sun, co-ruler of my 10th house,(perhaps I will make it through work, the probation period which is over after 3 months time on March 17- I am hoping the trine shows he feeds GOOD information to my boss since we have the same boss, so if he is a spy it ends well for me) then squares Venus (trouble about money- i am part time get few hours), Mercury (trouble with him), so then sextiles Uranus, sudden amorous happenings maybe???, very unexpectedly...., but after that will square Neptune, desillusion and trouble with the gambling department and the Node, trouble in relationships and last one will be an inconjunct to Mars. I just read in Hamaker Zondags book that an inconjunct could mean danger, this is kind of why i was alarmed and wanted feedback- 5th house could be romance or gambling, we work in a casino. i am a dealer, he is a supervisor so my direct supervisor, but middle management.... OR am I reading too much into this? Its easier for me to see other charts- other than my own. Could anyone tell me if they think he is romantically interested w/the 5th house, Venus and Uranus AND neptune connections- romance? Yes, he is having his solar return that is why i mentioned the sun in almost 7 degrees pisces is the same as his natal sun, thought it was significant? OR maybe he is feeding info to me from the boss, which is why it shows the receptions and maybe romantic feelings toward me- the idea sprung up because he seemingly kept giving me advice about things, inside information i suppose...he seemed to know a lot so i got suspicious. Plus the Scorpio moon may be making my suspicions work in overdrive. Could the mars inconjunct show a sudden romance or maybe a tryst in the hay which may not be a good idea? don't like to see danger, but anyway, i gave it my best for an intepretation, i wanted some more experienced feedback bc i'm basically self-taught in horary. In case the image doesn't embed properly, here is the info: "Is he spying for my boss?" (or does he really like/love me) Feb 25, 2008 9:20:39 PM Las Vegas, NV 36N12'21" 115W13'22" Used Regiomontanus thanks, sorry for intruding, I hope to learn from the community. I appreciate any help.
